REQUEST GUIDANCE

Recovery and overhaul requests require attention to the machine's history, the condition of its assemblies and each operation's needs.

What should be considered before refurbishment?

The Decanter operates as part of an industrial separation process. Before defining an intervention, it is important to understand the assembly's condition, maintenance history and the symptoms behind the request.

Refurbishment can involve different needs, but there is no single list of parts or procedures that applies to every Decanter. The scope of service must be determined by technical assessment and the machine's particular features.

Situations that call for an assessment

  • Persistent changes in equipment or process performance.
  • Vibration, noise or operating records that differ from the known pattern.
  • Need to restore assemblies and components after inspection.
  • Planning a technical shutdown, overhaul or return to operation.

These signs do not prove a specific cause. HM can assess the information provided and advise on next steps for proper service.

What to send HM Decanter

To start an inquiry, gather the manufacturer and model (if known), a description of the problem, available records, intervention history and the equipment location. When allowed, external images and authorized technical documents also help put the request in context.

If the model ID is not available, share general features and the data your team already has. There is no need to disassemble anything or enter hazardous areas to prepare the first contact.

Refurbishment, maintenance and parts: related solutions

Depending on the conditions observed, a refurbishment request may also require maintenance analysis, component identification or replacement planning. Parts availability and service feasibility must be confirmed case by case, without promises of compatibility or results before assessment.

Service for different models

The D4 shown in the portfolio is just one example of a horizontal machine refurbished by HM. We also accept requests for other Decanter models, whether or not they appear in the gallery. Ask the team to confirm service availability.

Safety and content limits:

This guidance is for preparing a technical inquiry. It does not replace manuals, specifications, lockout/tagout procedures, risk analysis or specialized support. Do not intervene in equipment or remove guards to gather data.

Frequent questions

Is refurbishment right for any underperforming Decanter?

Not necessarily. Operating, process and equipment conditions must be distinguished before defining an intervention.

Is the D4 the only horizontal Decanter you service?

No. The D4 is a portfolio example; other models can be submitted for assessment.

Can I request just an initial assessment?

Yes. The first contact is for presenting your request and getting guidance on the information and next steps.

To request service, tell us your model, even if it is not in the gallery, and describe what your operation needs.
