REQUEST GUIDANCE

Understand when to request a technical assessment, what information helps on first contact and how to organize a maintenance request safely.

When should a maintenance assessment be requested?

An industrial Centrifuge combines mechanical, operating and process conditions. Changes in behavior should be recorded and assessed by qualified professionals, based on equipment specifications and site procedures.

  • Vibration or noise outside the usual pattern.
  • Leaks or visible changes in the assembly, without approaching moving parts.
  • Alarms, unexpected stops and performance changes.
  • Need to plan shutdowns, inspections or component overhauls.

These signs alone do not identify the cause of a failure: process conditions, history, assembly and operation must be considered.

Preventive and corrective maintenance

Preventive maintenance is planned according to technical recommendations, equipment condition and process criticality. Corrective maintenance responds to an abnormal condition or identified failure. In both cases, the scope should be defined after assessment, without assuming replacements or interventions before a proper diagnosis.

A good request records what happened, when it started and its impact on operation. This history helps guide the conversation with HM Decanter and organize next steps.

Useful information when requesting service

  • Manufacturer, model and machine ID, when available.
  • Objective description of symptoms, alarm logs and the conditions in which they appear.
  • Maintenance history, replaced parts and existing inspections.
  • Equipment location, operating status and desired timeframe.
  • External photos and documents that can be shared safely and with authorization.

You don't need one of the five models in the portfolio: HM accepts requests for other equipment and manufacturers, subject to assessment.

How HM handles the first contact

The team receives your request, asks for additional information when needed and advises on inspection, maintenance or refurbishment options. Scope, lead times, availability and commercial terms are presented based on each case.

Safety and content limits:

This guidance is for preparing a technical inquiry. It does not replace manuals, specifications, lockout/tagout procedures, risk analysis or specialized support. Do not intervene in equipment or remove guards to gather data.

Frequent questions

Does HM only service the five models shown on the website?

No. They are examples of refurbished equipment. Other models can be submitted for assessment.

Can the cause of vibration be identified from a description alone?

Not reliably. Describing the symptom helps guide the analysis but does not replace a proper equipment assessment.

Do I need to do anything before requesting contact?

No. Share the data available and follow your site's safety protocols; do not open guards or intervene to obtain information.

To request service, tell us your model, even if it is not in the gallery, and describe what your operation needs.
