MAINTENANCE

Decanters and Centrifuges work under specific mechanical and operating conditions. Changes in behavior may indicate the need for inspection, but they do not reveal a single cause without a technical assessment.

Signs that deserve attention

  • Vibration or noise different from the usual pattern.
  • Rising component temperature, according to the manufacturer's indicators and limits.
  • Unexpected change in separation performance or in the quality of the separated phases.
  • Leaks, irregular consumption or visible signs of wear.
  • Alarms and stops that repeat during operation.

Information for the first contact

Record make, model, serial number, operating hours when available, recent maintenance history and the conditions under which the problem appears. Photos of the nameplate can help.

Safety before any intervention

Do not remove guards or intervene in running equipment. Inspections and interventions must follow lockout, isolation and safety procedures and the manufacturer's instructions.

Technical note:

This guidance is general and does not replace the equipment manual, safety procedures, risk assessment or qualified technical support.
