PLANNING

Preventive maintenance consists of planned interventions defined according to the equipment, process criticality and applicable technical recommendations. Corrective maintenance addresses an identified failure or condition that requires repair.

Why does context matter?

Planning should consider the operating regime, the product processed, failure history, environmental conditions and shutdown windows. Two similar machines may require different routines.

What should be documented?

  • Manufacturer, model and technical documentation.
  • Operating hours or cycles and intervention history.
  • Process conditions and perceived changes.
  • Parts already replaced and inspections carried out.

When should specialized support be involved?

Whenever there is behavior outside specified parameters, recurring events, doubts about tolerances or a need for complex interventions, seek qualified professionals to assess the case.

Technical note:

This guidance is general and does not replace the equipment manual, safety procedures, risk assessment or qualified technical support.
